This Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony video shows clips from AP’s live coverage of the 08/08/08 games, I think this is possibly the most covered event on the web today. However no doubt any type of exclusive visual coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games would be viral during this sport event. The Beijing Olympics opening ceremony truly was a spectacular show, you may possibly won’t miss it to watch starting from the ceremony.

Interactive Olympic Maps from 1896 to 2004

Posted by admin on August 7th, 2008

The interactive map from NY Times let you check out the medal counts by country for every Summer Games since the modern Olympic Games began in 1896, I think this is rare collection of Olympic games for visual representation.

The size of the bubbles varies in the geographic view correlated to the number of medals won. You can check the actual number of golds, silvers and bronzes won which are being displayed by just touching the bubble with your mouse. Dragging the tab through all the years reveals historical blips as well.
