Birmingham is is a hub of the UK rail network where a large number of railway lines meet there. The New Street railway station currently undergoing a transformation for greening up their mass transit train system stations.. The New Street Station is also due to be redeveloped in a £500 million scheme named Gateway Plus that will also improve passenger facilities and increase passenger capacity at the station, which is currently running at over capacity.
